10th Annual SDC Classic Returns September 11 at Shuswap Lake Golf Course
Splatsin Development Corporation (SDC) is pleased to announce that the 10th Annual SDC Classic Golf & Cultural Event will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Shuswap Lake Golf Course at Blind Bay.
Celebrating a decade of community, partnership and giving back, the SDC Classic has grown into much more than a golf tournament. Each year, the event brings together businesses, community partners, golfers and friends of SDC for a memorable day of golf, networking and camaraderie while raising funds for initiatives that make a meaningful difference.
Last year's SDC Classic raised a record $72,000, making it the most successful tournament in the event's history. Those funds are being used to establish the Splatsin Bursary Fund, supporting Splatsin members pursuing post-secondary education, trades training and skills development.
This year's event takes on additional significance as we come together to support wildfire recovery and community response efforts. Funds raised through the 2026 SDC Classic will be allocated 50% to wildfire recovery efforts and 50% to Splatsin to help cover emergency services and accommodations provided for evacuees.
“Reaching our tenth year is a significant milestone, and it would not have been possible without the tremendous support of our sponsors, golfers, volunteers and community partners,” said the SDC Classic Organizing Committee. “The SDC Classic has become a celebration of community, partnership and giving back, and we look forward to building on that legacy in 2026.”
A Memorable Day at Shuswap Lake
Set amid the spectacular scenery of the Shuswap, Shuswap Lake Golf Course offers an 18-hole championship course surrounded by mature trees, rolling terrain and mountain views.
The 2026 SDC Classic will feature a 9-hole Texas Scramble, with teams of four competing in a fun and inclusive format suitable for golfers of all skill levels. The tournament will accommodate up to 144 golfers, with teams divided between the front and back nine for a shotgun start.
Registration includes a swag bag, light lunch, driving range access, nine holes of golf, power cart, dinner, networking and social activities, along with contests, prizes, giveaways and more.
The day begins with registration at 10:30 a.m., followed by welcoming remarks and a networking lunch before the 2:00 p.m. shotgun start. Golf will be followed by a social hour, dinner, prizes and speeches.
Sponsorship and Player Opportunities Still Available
There is still time to be part of this milestone 10th anniversary event.
SDC welcomes businesses and organizations interested in sponsoring the tournament, contributing prizes or supporting the event through a donation. Sponsorship provides an opportunity to showcase your organization while supporting initiatives that benefit the Splatsin community.
Player registration is $260 per golfer, and a limited number of player and sponsorship opportunities remain available. The registration deadline is September 1, 2026.
