Splatsin Homes Featured in BMO's 2026 Indigenous Partnerships and Progress Report
ENDERBY, BC – June 17, 2026 – Splatsin Development Corporation (SDC) is proud to announce that Splatsin Homes has been featured in BMO Financial Group's 2026 Indigenous Partnerships and Progress Report, highlighting the organization's innovative approach to sustainable housing and community development.
The feature story, titled "Built with Care", recognizes the vision, persistence, and long-term planning that have shaped Splatsin Homes into a housing solution designed to meet the needs of Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities alike. Developed over nearly a decade, Splatsin Homes reflects SDC's commitment to sustainability, resilience, and creating opportunities that benefit future generations.
The report highlights how Splatsin Homes uses prefabricated insulated panel systems built with Quad-Lock and Airfoam technology to create energy-efficient, durable, and high-performance homes. The innovative construction approach reduces waste, shortens construction timelines, and provides an effective solution for communities facing housing shortages, remote construction challenges, or limited building seasons.
"From the beginning, sustainability guided decisions about materials and construction," the report notes, recognizing the longstanding responsibility Splatsin people carry as caretakers of the land and resources for future generations.
The feature also acknowledges the years of planning, research, supplier evaluations, and partnership development required to bring Splatsin Homes to market. Through that process, SDC remained focused on identifying materials and building systems that would deliver long-term value, durability, energy efficiency, and environmental performance.
In addition to providing housing solutions, Splatsin Homes is creating opportunities for knowledge transfer and workforce development. Communities can choose to have homes constructed on their behalf or participate in training programs that equip local workers with hands-on construction skills, helping build capacity that remains within the community long after the homes are completed.
The report notes that once materials arrive on site, homes can often be completed within six to eight weeks depending on the model, providing an efficient and practical solution for communities seeking high-quality housing. Splatsin Homes currently offers a range of one-, two-, and three-bedroom designs that can be customized to meet community needs.
SDC is honoured to have Splatsin Homes recognized alongside Indigenous organizations and businesses from across Canada that are advancing economic development, sustainability, and community well-being.
