The Monashee Community Forest will be harvesting 55 ha with an estimated 17,000 m3 of timber volume and is inviting parties interested in purchasing from this permit.

Work has commenced on the 2km pilot section of the Shuswap North Okanagan Rail Trail, which was awarded to SDC’s Yucwmenlúcwu Construction division.

The Shuswap North Okanagan Rail Trail has awarded a pilot section to Yucwmenlúcwu Construction. This stretch of trail marks the first “shovels in the ground” phase of the project.

SDC is pleased to announce the purchase of new pieces of heavy machinery for its Yucwmenlúcwu Construction division, including a 324G Skid Steer and a 50G Excavator.

Comprised of Splatsin Band Members, crews from Yucwmenlúcwu (Caretakers of the Land) LLP’s Construction division are hard at work at the Quilakwa Canco.

The Yucwmenlúcwu (Caretakers of the Land) LLP Construction division is working closely with the RDNO and the CSRD to ensure that Rail Trail conditions are safe for development.

Preliminary renovation work is underway at St. Mary’s Church and good progress is being made. Splatsin Band Members are managing and on the ground completing this project.
